Where? Why? Who?

will keep you busy

for a lifetime.

But keeping busy

is hardly the purpose

of this multi-layered

mystery we call life.

Being busy is the least

useful thing we can do

if we want to understand

ourselves and our lives.

Being busy will keep

us occupied on

a horizontal timeline

with little depth

and few revelations.

Only a vertical dive

deep into our own interiority

deep into the timeless nature

of our own being

deep into the heart of hearts

of existence itself

will reveal the wordless

answers to all our questions

of who, what, where, why

and give respite and renewal

from the tyranny

of our often self-imposed

and usually unexamined

incessant busyness.
